Inspiration

Lineberry is an Americanized spelling of its variant German names such as Leyenberger, Liujenburger, Lineberger, Leinberger, Lineburger, and Leinburger. In some cases it is a habitational name for someone from Leinburg in Bavaria, or other community with a similar spelling. The name can also be a topographic name from Middle High German lin ‘flax’ + berg ‘mountain’.

Every project at WASI starts with two things. A face to face conversation, and a sketchbook. We need to get to know you as a person will bring us closer to what works best for you faster. By starting out with our hands instead of the mouse helps us to create organically, not artificially.

Logo Design Progression

Staring with the inspiration of the Flax flower, we progressed the primary logo mark and font choices until the client considered it “perfect”. From a solid flower and a san typeface, to the thin line style, and finally to a hand-drawn flower and needle with the classic Goudy font.
